How did Jeremy Lin become famous overnight? 

Because he plays darn good basketball? Nope.

The right answer would be because he’s the FIRST american born ASIAN in the league. I do not know much things about basketball but every article i read/watch about him always have these words inside: asian, smart. And every article associated with him will definitely be something asian like those on 9gag that makes asian jokes. 

Why cant people just enjoy his basketball skills without making comparisons or references to his nationality. He didnt get to the league because he was an ASIAN. he didnt get into the league because he was SMART. He got in because of a mixture of hard work and talent. I’m just so tired of looking at facebook, news, tumblr all about jeremy lin+asian. This word asian just doesn’t leave him. Why can’t people just praise him by saying he’s a darn good bball player instead of saying “he’s a good basketball player who’s the FIRST american born ASIAN blahblah”

Gimme a break man. 

And the Whitney Houston thing. Not to be mean. A legend in music did pass away. And all of a sudden the whole world are her fans. I have only heard one song of hers before, ‘I will always love you’. Tons of my friends who are like me, who only heard this song, starts to “RIP Whitney” -.- HELLOOOOOO!?! I understand why musicians or aspiring musicians or real fans of Whitney feels. BUT TO THOSE WHO JUST LISTENED TO ONE SONG OF HER just stfu man. And how about the thousands/millions of children who die because of hunger/poverty/war? Nobody is RIP-ing them. Aren’t they humans as well? The only difference is that they are not “WELL-KNOWN”. Not well-known enough for people to mourn over them. It’s just like the Michael Jackson thing too. When he passed away, my friend just starts saying how awesome he is and starts playing MJ’s music for about a month. And what now? NOTHING. I really can’t stand it.
